Eredivise update: Vitesse sack Theo Bos

Vitesse have been in the news for all the wrong reasons these days. Once considered a viable club for potential investors, the management has driven all those options down the tube with the team’s negative performance in the Netherlands
League. Theo Bos has been part of the establishment for a long time and with the passage of time, the side has seen a dip in form and goals.
The club has been the talk of the Eredivisie league for some spectators and the reason has been its poor form. The side is currently on the 16th position in the table and with just two wins in 9 matches, the management
goals are far from being realized. Till now, Vitesse has lost 5 and drawn 2. Apart from that, there isn’t much to expect in the upcoming game against PSV Eindhoven.
The scheduled opponents lead the table and it is expected Vitesse will lose by a large margin, compelling the side to a thunderous plunge in the table which pits them in the regulation zone. That is one of the reasons why the Dutch
outfit has decided to part ways with head coach, Theo Bos with immediate effect. The Arnhem side’s weak start to the season pits the club at odds with what is expected from them in the 2010 – 2011 season. The side will be appointing a caretaker boss for the
temporary time period but there will be a new coach coming in soon.
Vitesse has been aiming for the European Qualification but with 8 points in just nine games, the likelihood of that happening is low. The management will need to pull the club out of relegation first before it thinks ambitiously
in the long run. The 45 year old Bos was appointed at the start of 2009 and was tasked to guide the side to the upper table position. However, he failed miserably and in just 63 official matches, he inspired the side to 19 wins.

Technical Director Ted van Leeuwen was present at a press conference to deliver the news: "It was a tough decision for us to let go of Theo Bos. We're thankful for all the good work he has done at this club. He'll always be a real Vitesse man and he's always
welcome here."
