I know men use the ergastic substances of plants for econimic products. Are ergastic substances present in animal cells too? If so, where? And what are its functions?

Ergastic substances - storage compounds or waste products accumulated by the cell either in cytoplasm, cell wall, organelles, or vacuole. Examples include starch grains, crystals (silica), pigments, oil droplets, resins, gums, tannins.
