  1. If you have been training the week before your race, you should make sure your body is fully rested by Sunday- do not do a full out 2k the day before. You should already know what split you're going for, and if not, look up a split sheet on row2k.com or something to get an idea.

I actually have a 2k today and yesterday our coach had us pull our first 500m and then our last 500m, nothing more. stretch a lot and hydrate today and good luck!

  2. No full out event within 5-7 days.  Have an easy row of 20-30 minutes, or all day off the day before.

Be sure to warm-up well prior to your erg 2k.  6-8 minutes moderate, a few short hard intervals.  Row easy a few minutes.  With a few more minutes off, you'll blister the machine.  Stay just below your pain threshold.  Flirt with it and back just under.

  3. No. You should be tapering your training during the week and having a rest day on Friday and Saturday.

The test to see where you were at should have been done weeks ago.
