The French centre-back has recently recovered from a liver tumour, and after making a comeback, he has seen his coach suffering from cancer and now he has offered him his support.
The French defender, Eric Abidal, has offered his support to his coach, Tito Vilanova.
The Barcelona manager was recently diagnosed with cancer in his parotid gland, and Eric Abidal is one of those players who just recently recovered from a liver cancer himself.
Therefore, the French star has come out in the open to offer his support to his new coach, and has wished him a lot of spirit.
The Frenchman was recently given the green light by the club doctors, as he has now fully recovered from his respective injury and will be able to play in the first-team.
While the Barcelona fans received good news from Eric Abidal’s end, they received bad news from Tito Vilanova’s end, as he has been hospitalized and will not be reporting on duty for quite some time.
While speaking about his recovery and his return to the training ground with the first-team, Eric Abidal stated:
“I can confirm that I have resumed training with the group.”
The Frenchman also spoke about his coach and stated:
“I hope to return soon to the pitch, but I cannot stop thinking about our Coach, Tito Vilanova - I wish lots of spirit to him and his family.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 really missed Eric Abidal throughout the last season, when they had defensive problems and rarely had players to field in the defensive positions.
However, this season, the inclusion of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Song-c4804 has really helped the Catalan giants defensively and Eric Abidal will definitely find it hard to make a space for himself in the Barcelona first-team.
The fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-Puyol-c8331 cannot play every game is definitely advantageous for La Blaugrana, who might play the French star, Eric Abidal, in Puyol’s place.
The French star will take some time to gain fitness, but it will not be long when he is going to be back in the ground, playing in the Barcelona first-team, helping them win difficult games.
