Eric Boullier: I am confident Renault will have a progressive weekend in Italy – Formula 1 news
Lotus-Renault boss Eric Boullier is confident for the upcoming 2011 Italian Grand Prix, which will take place on September 11 at Monza racetrack.
Boullier added that he believes Renault will have a better race at Monza this weekend after scoring some points in the Belgium race of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
The team boss talked to the media and stated that Monza is always a difficult track, but despite of that, they are looking forward to a successful race weekend in Italy.
Boullier commented, “We had a very respectable qualifying session and Bruno stepped into the cockpit successfully. These aspects were quite promising; it was encouraging for the team to be able to see the cars delivering and their work bearing fruit.”
He went on to mention, “I think the positive energy really came about after qualifying because everyone knows it is extremely challenging for a new driver to step in. Seeing the team applauding the drivers after Q2 and Q3 was a good sign; I was very happy
to see that, and it was pleasing to see smiles back on everyone's faces.”
The Enstone-based outfit boss further said that they had a good Belgium Grand Prix with Bruno Senna recently. He added that Senna did a good job for them throughout the Spa race weekend and after that, they are hopeful of getting better results from him
in the rest of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Renault driver Vitaly Petrov was in a positive form in the 2011 Belgium race weekend. He started his race from the 10th place at Spa-Francorchamps and ended up in the ninth spot for the team.
His teammate Senna had a successful qualifying round at Spa racetrack. He made a lot of struggle with his R31 car and stayed on the circuit until the end of the Grand Prix. After starting from the seventh position on the opening grid, Senna came at the 13th place
in the final race classifications.
Let’s see how both of the drivers Petrov and Senna perform in the upcoming 2011 Italian Grand Prix this weekend.
