Question:

Eric Clapton's Guitar Effects?

I just want to know if anyone knows the kind of effects pedals and settings he may have used while he was in Cream.. I know of course he used the Wah wah pedal, but he just has this certain sound, it sounds like a compressor with fuzz or something.. I just have no idea, but it would be cool to get his sound on my multi-effects pedal :D Any help at all is great! Thanks!

  1. Didn't he play lead on "I Don't Need No Wah-Wah"?

I think he uses a tube distortion /sustain /overdrive pedal but most of his real genius involved fingers on the string techniques:

    Hammer On's

    Pull Offs

    Stretch low to high (Glissandio)

    Stretch high to low (Portamento)

Also, on the acoustic sets, years later, he seems to use some Chorus effects.

  2. I know he played an SG during Cream and he had a fuzz face distortion pedal.
