The 48-year-old is delighted at Les Lionceaux third win of the season after Sochaux Montbeliard registered a 2-1 win over Evian TG at Stade Auguste Bonal
Sochaux haven’t started the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign on a positive note and were in the relegation zone before Wednesday’s game. The win has lifted them up the table and FCSM are currently 17th in the league after 11 games.
Coach, Eric Hely is hoping that the win will kick-start his side’s season and has urged his players to continue playing like they did against Evian in midweek. The coach believes that it was the best Sochaux has produced this season and it’s a pleasing factor
for him.
While talking to reporters, the Frenchman stated that Les Lionceaux played quality football on Wednesday and attacking tactics helped them to great extent. The coach added that Sochaux were terrific in the first half and were rewarded for all the hard work
with couple of goals before the interval.
The 48-year-old added that his players showed phenomenal spirit and he is pleased with their attitude on the pitch.
"In the first half, we tried to attack and play football, and we were rewarded with two goals. I am really satisfied, both with the performance and with the spirit shown by the players.
Praising his side, Hely said that Sochaux looked a completely different team on the pitch and they controlled the game from the very start.
“I think that, for the first time this year, they really gave their absolute all out there. The lads are tired but it was worth it.”
Talking about Evian TG FC, Eric Hely said that the visitors made life difficult for Sochaux on the pitch and his side deserves credit for holding onto the lead and not allowing Evian a way back in the match.
Les Lionceaux will face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 in their next league game on Sunday and the coach is hoping for another positive result.
“Evian made life tough for us in the second half, but we managed to build a fortress in front of our goal. This win removes a little bit of the pressure before we host Lyon."
