Eric Hinske shines as Atlanta Braves defeat Florida Marlins 6-2 - MLB Update

Atlanta Braves’ first baseman, Eric Hinske had a tremendous day with the bat as he went 1-for-4 with an average of .250 and hit two RBIs including a solo walk in the Braves’ 6-2 victory against the Florida Marlins at Sun Life Stadium, Florida on August 10.
Braves started pretty well as they scored their entire runs in first three innings of the game. During first inning, Braves added two runs to their individual score-card to take a 2-0 lead. Michael Bourn and Martin Prado both contributed two collective runs
when Dan Uggla drove a single-run shot to centre-field.
In second inning, Braves smashed three runs to increase their lead 5-0. Jose Constanza scored one run when Tim Hudson hit a single-run shot to left-centre. Then, Prado and Hudson both posted two consecutive runs for the Braves when Hinske doubled to deep
right-field. Braves continued to lift their momentum by scoring runs with an unremitting interval as they added one run during third inning to advance their lead 6-0.
David Ross posted a single run when Constanza moved to second base on wild pitch of the Marlins’ reliever, Burke Badenhop. The pitchers had managed to stop runs from the fourth to seventh inning as they tossed up some complicated pitches in perfect line.
During fourth inning, the Marlins were score-less as Mike Stanton and Alfredo Amezaga both were struck-out.
In seventh inning, Hinske walked but the rest of his team-mates got out without providing any run as at the second base Uggla popped out while Jason Heyward and Ross both were struck-out. On the other side, Marlins got off the mark during eighth inning by
taking two runs to cut their deficit 6-2.
Hudson said, “It's great, I love him. He's been an unbelievable teammate all year. He plays hard every single day. When he had his struggles early on, he never made excuses, he played hard.”
Logan Morrison hit a solo homer (437 feet) towards right-centre and second run was taken by John Buck when Amezaga hit a grounder into fielder’s choice to third base. Hudson gave up six hits, two runs, one walk and two earned runs in just over seven innings
pitched. He permitted one home-run with an ERA of 3.18 and struck-out seven batters on his 109 pitches.
With this impressive win, the Braves swept the Marlins 3-0 in the three-game series played at Florida.
