Eric Pang thrashes Dicky Palyama to secure Men’s Singles title at Yonex Dutch Open 2012
Netherland’s emerging shuttler Eric Pang stamped his superiority in the arena as he played with remarkable precision in Men’s Singles final encounter and won the title after crushing his country-mate Dicky Palyama at the Yonex Dutch Open 2012 in Netherlands,
on Sunday, October 14.
The aggressive Pang, who was the seventh seeded player in Men’s Singles draw of his home event, showed a strong character as he played with complete control throughout the battle and easily gave a punishing treatment to Palyama in a crushing fashion.
Eric showed a great performance in the title match as he played with tremendous control and confidence and eventually overpowered his team-mate in straight games with a one-sided margin by consuming just 29 minutes on court.
In the meanwhile, the eighth seeded Palyama was completely confused as he failed to find gaps in his opponent’s court and also could not execute his shots accurately.
The experienced Palyama could not create pressure on his rival at any stage during the final battle and bowed down to him in two games with a huge difference on score board.
In the starting set, the seventh seeded Pang was in remarkable form in the opening rallies and he did not face any trouble in setting up a spectacular lead at the initial stage.
The positive and aggressive play of Pang assisted him to maintain a considerable gap on score board until the end of first half.
After the one-minute break, the higher ranked Pang was on a different level as he did not commit any mistake in the event and remained successful in grabbing the opening set with a smashing 21-14 score on the board.
Palyama was in all sorts of problem in the second game too as he could not find any way out from the dominating play of his opponent and remained miles behind until the break.
After the mid-game interval, Pang was calm and focused on court as he did not let his challenger to turn the tables at any stage and easily wrapped up second game with a one-sided difference of 21-10.
Pang emerged as the title winner as he easily defeated Palyama in the final battle with a crushing 21-14 and 21-10 score on the board.
