Erick Silva: I have perfect game plan and will lure Charlie Brenneman in to my game – UFC News
Erick Silva, the former Jungle Fight welterweight champion, in a media interaction remarked that he has worked out a perfect game plan for Charlie Brenneman adding that he will try his level best to lure the American brawler in to his standing game so as
to grab a knockout win.
Silva and Brenneman will co-headline Ultimate fighting Championship’s upcoming pay-per-view ‘UFC on FX 3: Ian McCall vs. Demetrius Johnson’. The octagon for the event will be set up at BankAtlantic Center situated in Sunrise, Florida, United States.
The show will be televised live on Friday June 8, 2012 and the main card will be broadcasted on FX channel. Ian and Demetrius will headline the pay-per-view in order to do decide the second semi-finalist for the newly introduced flyweight title tourney.
Erick recently shared his view point regarding Charlie and how he will tackle the Pennsylvanian in order to make a comeback to the win streak. Silva also shared his thoughts about the last controversial disqualification decision against Carlo Prater.
Silva while putting forth the crux of his game plan commented that he will try to bring Charlie in to his favourite knockout and standing straight-forward stance adding that he is seeking a knockout win instead of a decision one.
Silva stated, “I have my game plan. And my game plan is to bring him to my game: Make the fight a standing fight, be faster than him, and do what I do every day. Try to knock the guys out.”
Erick is a quality brawler who has been in a total 16 mixed martial art bouts. The young 27-year-old has collected 13 wins – three by knockout, seven by submission and another three by decision.
When asked as to what went wrong in the bout with Carlo, ‘The Indio’ Silva commented that he was shocked at the decision and later on went to the bout-referee to inquire about the disqualification.
Silva stated, “[Yamasaki] told me he had a few seconds to decide, and he made a decision because he thought it was the right decision in that moment. It was the right thing to do.”
This will be Silva’s UFC career’s third bout and with a pretty flawless resume to some extent he will strive hard to nail Charlie by any means possible. It must be noted that in a recent interview Charlie vowed that he will nail the Brazilian by his wrestling
stance and will test Erick’s Judo and jiu-jitsu.
The odds are equally divided between the duo and only the man with the best game plan and the one who capitalises the other’s mistake will emerge out of the octagon as victorious.
