Lamela joined Roma from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 for approximately 19 million Euros in the summer transfer window. The Argentine has had a fantastic time with the Italian side thus far, and has contributed a lot to their success.

The Giallorossi have a lot of Argentine players in the squad, but Lamela insists that Totti was the main source of inspiration for him. The 19-year-old confirmed that he has good relations with the Roma skipper and has good understanding with him.
While talking to the reporters, Lamela said,
“You learn a lot from him. He is a player that is part of the club’s history, an idol of the fans. Not mentioning the Argentines, Totti is the player who gives me the most advice. He is one of those who I talk to most. There are no problems with the language, we understand each other.”
Lamela is happy with the first seven months of his stay at Stadio Olimpico Roma, and is proud to become a first-team member in Luis Enrique’s squad.
