Erik Pieters’ agent claims his client will join Newcastle United – Dutch Eredivisie news

Piet van der Pol, Pieters’ agent, has claimed that his client’s transfer to the Magpies would be completed
in the coming days.

Pieters’ agent has claimed that his client’s departure from the Boeren seems imminent and revealed that he is confident that the transfer will materialize before the end of the ongoing summer transfer market.
“Newcastle's interest is very serious and Erik finds the club a real challenge. I don't know the exact numbers of Newcastle's offer, but I'm pretty sure that the transfer will go ahead”, Van der Pol was quoted as saying to the media.

Reports in Dutch media suggest that should Pieters’ move to Newcastle materialise, PSV would be signing FC Groningen’s Tim Matavz with the money received from the possible transfer of the left defender, while Abel Tamata would be occupying the vacant left-back
