Ernie Els in good form as he goes for the last major of the year
It is time for the most awaited golfing event of the year, the 2012 PGA Championship. Kiawah Island Golf Resort, the Ocean Course, is the venue for this prestigious event. The event is going to tee off on the 9th of August and it is going to end
on the 12th of August.
At this event, the elite players of golf will gather to go against each other for the Championship. One year ago, this tournament was bagged by American professional golfer, Keegan Bradley.
This year, he will be looking to defend his title against the biggest names in the world of golf. All the players will be giving their best in the tournament, as it is going to be the biggest event of the year.
One of the top contenders for the trophy is Ernie Els. He is one of the players who have been under the spot light for quite some time now. He has successfully impressed the fans and the players with his game.
Els will be coming to the tournament with great determination to bag the trophy. He will be coming to the Kiawah Island as a major champion. He carried the same status the last time he was here.
Els bagged the British Championship Open this year. This will defnitely be a big confidence boost for the 42-year-old as he goes for another major.
Els had an amazing win at the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Course and raised the Claret Jug last month. After the Open, the South African professional golfer went to Canada.
In an interview he said, “I can't tell you how special it is .It's just hit me now. I've been reading up on what you guys have been writing, but it's been two weeks. Last week was a joke. The Canadians ran me around like you can't believe. But now, I'm breathing
again. It's really setting in”.
“I'm feeling like it's a new beginning. I really do feel I can win another couple of majors. I really do”, he added.
Els has been very consistent. He has another chance to pull it off. He just needs to believe in himself and needs to stick to his natural game.
