Erratic compass. HiI noticed for the first time after i changed the battery on my tissot t touch

HiI noticed for the first time after i changed the battery on my tissot t touch that the compass is acting weird.When in compass mode the compass is acting weird relative to the position of the body.Im comparing it with a mechanical compass and the watch is pointing in the opposite direction.the mech compass needle is pointing at 8 o'clock and the watch min hand is pointing at 4 o'clock.but when i turn the body of the watch so now the 12 o'clock is instead of the 6 o'clock the compass will point to the right direction. actually it points to different directions every quater turn or so i give to the body of the watchthe deviation is set to 0 degThanks in advanceJoeSame problem also, compass is completely erratic and if you turn the watch around, compass shows different "norths". It looks like it's "magnetized" but would not know how nor when. Watch is 7 months old also.
