Error- invalid disc on computer

Question

error- invalid disc on computer running windows 98 says to replace disc, press any key and that does nothing. the drawer for one of the cd drives pops back open after i close it, i tried inserting a disc and the thing ran for along time trying to read it with no results. end game i cannot boot up the computer.
