  1. Things can run better and faster if you put your scratch disk on another drive ...

I don't know about your Photoshop computer, but mine has two additional 500 GB hard drive and one of the is my "scratch disk"

  2. Save what you are working on and close the image.  Now go into the preferences (Ctrl+K), keep clicking next until you get to the plug-ins and scratch disks.  Here, you can change your scratch disk settings.  If you have more than one drive on your computer, switch the scratch disks to a drive that does not have the program file on it. (So if PS is loaded on the C drive and you have a D, make the scratch disks D.) then click next again for the Memory and Image Cache.  Set the memory usage between 80 and 90.  Doing this should maximize Photoshop so it will run smoothly.  For these new changes to save and go into effect, you will need to close PS and re-open it.  Hope this helps!

  3. Hi Lala

Go in the tools in photoshop, and increase the size of the swap file. Actually, you are probably letting the computer decide. You can defeat it by incresing the swap file.

  4. your out of memory, close other programs and check how much space is left on your hard drive.

  5. Good times!

Okay, as stated your virtual memory is full. This can happen when you copy and paste a lot of stuff (have items in cache) or over time when your computer system uses up the allotted space if it has not been restarted/shut down in a while.

I don't know, have you tried restarting your computer and/or closing programs? Remember there are also some other programs that work in the background. Also, try to free up some hard drive space (as suggested above).
