Eruption expected to blitz Kilcuala Maeve and Amys Prince in A2 480m Flat at Swindon
Kilcuala Maeve, Eruption and Amys Prince have been declared co-favourites for the 480 metres flat heat, taking place at Swindon on Wednesday, May 2nd. According to the program, the Grade A2 event will be started at
19:22 GMT.
Six fast and furious hounds are all set to compete for a cash prize of £95. Their names are: Kilcuala Maeve, Eruption, Amys Prince, Swift Major, Lady Lomasi and Clongeel Allstar.
Kilcuala Maeve was pretty impressive last time out. In a 480 metres sprint, the blue b***h did a fine job and ensured the runner-up place.
Luck was not on her side though, as she missed the crown only by a head’s distance. The Q. Bevan-trained is facing a lot tougher opposition today and thus, she will have to come up with something special.
Amys Prince, on the other hand, is full of spirit following a magnificent performance last month. After doing nothing special in two races, the fawn and brindle dog improved his work significantly and impressed everyone with
a fantastic effort.
The 480 metres flat heat saw him topping the chart by 2¾ lengths. Despite getting crowded at the first bend, N. Colton’s trainee managed to establish his dominance that he retained till the winning post.
The aforementioned two hounds have good chances for the gold medal. However, they need to perform out of the skins, because Eruption is in great shape at the moment.
It would be a huge disappointment if the black dog does not collect some sort of prize. Although he was not impressive last time around, no one should ignore his chances.
He won three of the last five races. At the start of last month, Westmead Hawk’s son grabbed two back-to-back wins over 480 metres.
Clongeel Allstar might struggle against this line-up. Similarly, Lady Lomasi needs her opponents to err to play a part. Swift Major is also out of form these days.
The stats show that the real clash will be among Kilcuala Maeve, Eruption and Amys Prince. Our vote goes to Eruption, who is set to start the proceedings from the red box.
