Escaped Hamster!!!!!?

Question

I am watching my friends hamster and about half and hour ago or an hour ago it got loose. I looked all over!! I'm very upset so don't say anything rude. Is there a way to make traps?

When I was a kid, a hamster got loose in our house, and we used a "bucket" trap.  It was a bucket, with aluminum foil over the top, slightly torn.  Food was placed on top, so when the hamster went to eat the food, the hamster fell in.

get some hampster food and lay it out in the open it will get hungry enough to go after it wait for it and catch it

Hamsters like tight dark spaces. My friends hamster always went under the refrigerator. Also you might have to wake up at night to look for the hamster by the food, because they are nocturnal.

Don't worry. Just don't make mich noise for now. If you are quiet enough, sometimes you can hear scratching....

If that approach doesn't work, get a nice tall bucket, put tons of bedding in it to break the fall, and smear an apple slice with peanut butter (it's nice and smelly). Place that in the bucket and make a stairway up to it with books.

Wait awhile and soon the hamster will get hungry. Remember to keep the doors open to the room.

First, what you do is make sure you close any doors to rooms that the hamster may be in. Then you can look in each room individualy. Set food and some bedding in corners. Also, if you kinda bang the floor, the hamster can feel it and may come out from hiding. Block any tight spots because they can go through the slightest cracks.

when ours got loose we had a bucket with a staircase made with books by its side , we put its fave food into the bucket and the hamster would climb up the books and get trapped in the bucket

Leave the cage where you think the hamster escaped.  Leave the cage door open and put out the hamsters food and a water dish for it.  Put cheese by the cage and it should go for it.
