Malaysia Independence day Essay
For me the word independence means being free from someone or something. In this case it would be Malaysia being free from the United Kingdom. As far as I know about Independence day it pretty much means an annual celebration for the anniversary of a nations independence. Malaysia’s independence was different from other countries because it was peaceful they did not fight instead they just talked to the British. So on August 31 1957 the first prime minister of Malaysia Allahyarham Tunku Abdul Rahman proudly declared the independence of Malaya (now Malaysia) by shouting out “Merdeka†seven times at the Merdeka Stadium.
Malaysia has come a long way since then. Now-adays Merdeka Stadium is used for other things such as holding sports events or concerts. Independence isn’t a joke. When it is gone it’s the end. If that ever happens we will suffer from a lot of humiliation and discrimination. We must always protect our country.
Me being from Canada I’m not used to all this independence for me all I ever learned about was the 1st of July which was Canada Day the day Canada joined confederation from the year 1867. Basically what we did on this day was go down to downtown Calgary, watch the stampede which was a whole bunch of floats and people singing and dancing and then in the evening we would all go to watch the fireworks.
I'M NOT SURE HOW TO CONCLUDE THIS ESSAY ANY HELP??
SOMETHINGS I MIGHT ADD BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT ANY IDEAS?
The word independent means to be able to stand on your own two feet and do something for yourself. It means to stop depending on everyone to get things done for you whether it be your parents or spouse. Being independent is extremely important.
another thing i might add TO THE ESSAY
Independence is not a joke. When it’s gone, it’s the end. If that happens, we will suffer a lot from humiliation and discrimination. We don’t want history to repeat itself. Therefore, we must always be prepared to protect our country. We must endure the saying “From the fall of Malacca, we raise Malaysia!â€Â
