Write a story with the starting "For us, what i have just said could be enough"

This is one of the wierdest topic my teacher could have given us, and the only thing i can relate it to is a breakup!

Does anyone have any ideas on what i could write abt? This is a desperate situation!

a parent disciplining his or her child

a teacher addressing an unruly class

a minister delivering a sermon

a manager at a workplace addressing his/her staff, or one particular employee

... don't get it either, but I think she wants you to debate. Some hot topics for that could be global warming, economy issues, energy crisis, pros and cons of the candates for president, creation vs evolution, girls are as good as boysin math, world population...so many. Is this a creative writing assignment or is there specific subject matter that needs to be included? You don't specify.

If it is strictly as a creative writing assignment, there could be any number of ways to continue on from that opening sentence. Perhaps the line was said by a police detective investigating a recent case, maybe that was the final line from a heated debate, or it could be words spoken to a waiter in a crowded restaurant.
