Essay help? suggest a challenge?

i have to write an essay and here is the prompt:

remember a time when you faced a challenge. You may recall a difficult problem, competition or task you had to face. Recreate that situation. Tell what happened and how you met or failed to meet the challenge.

i know its fairly easy, but i cant think of a challenge i faced!

Could you please give an example of something i could write this essay on? thanks so much!

If you've played in organized sports - pick a game with a close ending, and the part you played in it.

If you've been offered drugs and turned them down - 1st of all GOOD FOR YOU - but also, that is a challenge you won.

If you befriended someone unpopular, again, a challenge.

If you've ever had to confess to doing something wrong to one of your parents, that can be the hardest challenge of all. But it's not a challenge if you are faking the apology - you really have to take responsibility for your actions for this to count.

How about a time where you promised something to someone but it was hard to keep the promise or a time where someone got hurt and there weren't any adults around and you had to find them help?

The important thing to remember is that not all essays have to be true: no one's going to do a background check to make sure it actually happened :)

If it can be about a family member or a fictional story, think about becoming a citizen somewhere, starting to drive, or facing a larger challenge.  Something that might be keeping you from thinking of one is thinking too narrow, think of something broad and have more to support it, or it can help you think of something you would want to write about.  Relax, something will come to you sometime.
