  1. Oil will run out in about 30 years from now. When oil runs out then we will have to ride bicycles and ride horses. We would also have to give up our electronics and live on farms. There also wouldn't be city police anymore. The police would have to ride on horses or bicycles. Also, some oil would be left but it would only be for the super-wealthy or governments/military. So, you should apprecate what you have now.

  2. this can be several impacts on the human being and the earth:

    social impact:

after finishing oil the people in the middle east start to use their brains to find new ways to make money (i'm just kidding i am from middle east too)

    economic impacts:

the usage of petroleum doesnt limited to production of energy

petroleum also is used as raw material in petrochemical industries so we should find a renewable resource for our needs (obviously we can't use nuclear energy for producing plastics!!!)

    environmental impacts:

petroleum is one of the main sources of pollution on the earth, the earth could have  better environmental condition when petroleum runs out

    political impacts**:

one of the hidden reasons of some of the wars is that some of the countries try to gain other countries' oil so they decide to invade to these countries (they pretend that they are seeking to  weapons of mass destruction)

i hope that these war reach to an end when oil runs out

** i advise you to not use the last part for your essay (you may get in trouble)

  3. it might be interesting if you try suggesting that oil wont run out and the question itself is flawed. Or that oil will run out so far in the future, due to synthetic production, that other forms of energy will already have been harnessed.

oil can be synthesized. there are vast amounts of hydrocarbons in the solar system that could be used to manufacture oil, never mind what is available on Earth for synthesis.

as long as there is carbon and hydrogen available to us, there  is the possibility of manufacturing oil.

  4. Well I beleive that many people will panic but then once every body is calmed down people will start walking more, cutting down travel, and use solar power, etc.

  5. Hi. I am sure there is quite alot of literature out there on the web. The main points which I would include myself would be somewhere along the lines of:

    - How will day to day technology change with less and less oil available (or even no oil)? Will we still be dependent upon oil for cars etc etc? Will fossil fuels be replaced for alternative renewable energy sources such as solar power. I know that in the past decade the purchase of solar power has become much cheaper with  better and more available technology.

    - Government policy may change in the lead up to oil shortage e.g. taxes on oil, restriction on number of cars per household etc etc. Encouragement for people to use public transport is possible.

    - Changes in how we get our food: population maybe encouraged to grow local produce thus reducing their dependency on foreign imports of food  which would otherwise require oil used up in the transport of getting the food to the consumers by trucks, planes etc etc.

    - Increased dependency on nuclear power. You could use france as an example where there is a very large proportion of total energy production by the nuclear sector. - this ISN'T a renewable energy source so watch out for this one!

    - Energy surplus from renewable energy sources maybe sold onto neighbouring countries to those who can't meet energy demand. A lack of oil means that some developing countries in particular may fall short in being able to cope with demand from growing popualtion.

I hope these points get you started...There are loads more you could put in but I would use these points to show how humans might be affected in the LEAD UP to oil running out.

  6. haha lewis you are gunna getn a dt for not doing this yourself you cheat looool . i doing it now

  7. Ask Dubai.

Dubai's (UAE) economy was built on the back of the oil industry, revenues from oil and natural gas currently account for less than 6% of the emirate's revenues.  Dubai's oil reserves have diminished significantly and are expected to be exhausted in 20 years.

A little research into this situation might yield some good essay topics!

  8. we're all in the s**t if oil runs out!
