  1. do the first one, and actually try, dont look up a pre-written one, do the work!!!

  2. Imagine that you fell in love with someone who had been scheming to make you fall in love with them for whatever purpose (maybe the person was in love with you, maybe the person simply wanted to ride in your sports car) and that you then found out that this person's pretended interest in the Jonas Brothers, the Travelling Pants books, Stephanie Meyer, or Cocodile Dundee had all been assumed. It wasn't real. It had been adopted for the purpose of getting you to come across. You'd feel cheated. The feelings were not genuine--they were worked up.

This is life under gadgetry. It helps a person skim along but prevents knowing the self. It facilitates activity without speaking to ultimate purpose. Ultimately, it is a fraud. Fraudulence is what the word "gadget" implies, and no one wants to live by fraud.

Now usually when people speak of gadgets they mean things that help them do simple, trivial tasks, such as peeling a lemon or sharpening a pencil. And everyone at one moment or another uses a peeler or a pencil sharpener. However, even here something is lost--contact with the real lemon, intimacy with the tools of writing.

    [you take it from there]

  3. I would do the 'life without gadgets' and use the Amish lifestyle as a model. They don't use modern gadgets and manage quiet well.

  4. Life without gadgets... we now have the electronic office which is good and bad... easy to get in contact quickly with people to organise things etc, but then it impacts on our personal life because it we are able to check work emails etc from home. Also legal stalking-facebook etc. But then these networking sites and things like text are making it very easy to stay in touch.

One that your teacher might like would be plagarism...

  5. If I were you, I'll choose the second one. You could research about Michael Phelps, or probably any other athlete.

    Good Luck!
