Essay topic, about health care?

okay, my econ. teacher, gave us an essay that is about health care here in the U.S, but i could could compare it, to france, or any other country. here's the thing, he used give us, topic, to write about, but, now he didn't, he said, its up to us...

i need a good argument, and a good topic....

okay, i'm not good at this, to yeah.....pls pls help me... i need help urgently...

You could compare the United States's health care and the United Kingdom's. America spends 13% of it GDP on health care while the UK only spends about 7%, yet America doesn't have better health than other countries like the UK. Spain spends 7.4% of their GDP and Japan 6.7% of their GDP on health care.

You could also talk about the system, Americans have to take out private health insurance while people in the UK have a National Health Service. Your essay could be about which is better, taking out insurance (US) or having the NHS (UK). If you want to know more, ask in the additional details.

United States FOR:

- There is Medicare and Medicaid which is a free health service run by the government.

- Some employers pay for their empolyees health insurance.

United States AGAINST:

- A high porportion of patients of medicaid or medicare have Aids or have alcohol or dug problems.

- Taking out private insurance is very costly.

- Medicaid and Medicare don't cover all treatments and have a lack of doctors.

United Kingdom FOR:

- A reliable health service covered by the government.

United Kingdom AGAINST:

- On rare occasions the NHS won't cover some treatments (e.g. cancer drugs) which means UK residents would have to pay themselves.
