Melbourne did it in the 50s, Collingwood did it in the 20s but no one recognises that we did it first before the 1900s. I would like to think it counts but what do real footy heads think?

  1. yeah it sure does, go the bombers

  2. Yes it counts.  You still have to be the best of the competition you are playing in.

At North Melbourne we love winning 4 games in a row!

  3. YOU ARE ALL MAD, MELBOURNE NEVER DONE IT AND EITHER DID ESSENDON.

if you want to get technical, essendon were beaten by richmond in the 1924 grand final but becoz of a stupid round robin finals system, the tigers had to win by so many points and didn't, but still won the game, so you owe Richmond one.

collingwood are the only team to win 4 in a row. c'wood stopped Melbourne in the 50's. and Carlton won 3 in row but ess never did.

  4. Essendon's premierships....

    1897, 1901, 1911, 1912, 1923, 1924, 1942, 1946, 1949, 1950, 1962, 1965, 1984, 1985, 1993, 2000.

    Melbourne's premierships....

    1900, 1926, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1948, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1959, 1960, 1964.

It would count if you can point out where they won 4 premierships in a row.....

  5. Ya it counts it's in the books rite?

  6. Yeah, not many sides but it still counts it might have just been easier.

  7. It counts in the VFA/L

  8. VFA doesn't count.

  9. you'll never get a straight answer because people will interpret this question using what they believe the rules should be instead of what they were at the time of the wins over 150 years of change. I say 1, 2, 3, 4 it counts if it happened.

  10. dude essendon never won  4 premierships in a row. the only team that has is the MIGHTY PIES.

so no it does not count cos they never even won 4 in a row!!!!!

  11. um no you didnt
