Essex, why does girls have such a bad reputation from Essex

Question

I was born in Essex then moved to the USA when I was 11 and when I came back to the UK I get teased about being from Essex. lol

Can someone pls explain?

Ahem is from Essex, not a girl tho, i can tell the answerer above Essex peeps DO NOT try to be Londoners, its just we get so many Londoners down here its sometimes hard to tell who is who ;-)

i'm not saying that essex is a bad place or anything but from what ppl say that it gets a bad reputation, i'm sure Essex is really nice and its nothing like ppl say it is but you shouldn't be teased just cause you were born in Essex !!!!

also it could be that essex has a good night life !!!

Essex girls are know for being cheap tarts who will have s*x with any male on a night out.

There are a lot of chavs in Essex and they think they are better than everyone else in London, or indeed all South England.
