Mascherano.

He managed to get himself sent off using his mouth- that is something Essien and his lousy English can never accomplish.

As Mascherano is already a Red, so why bother other player who have similar capability but will cost you h**l lots of $$ to get in??

Mascherano have age on his side. He can go on and be much better than Essien!! Nonetheless, credit have be given to Essien for giving his best (and have not failed badly) when his boss want (& needed) him to play in defence!!

macherano is a tough tough player, hes twice as hard as essien he does not score as much, but he defends better. and besides essien doesnt score much either. id prefer mascherano, since he holds liverpools midfield well along side gerrard
