Question:

Estancias in Argentina?

My wife and I are planning to vacation in Argentina in January or February and I would like to stay in an estancia on the Pampa for around two days/three nites. Should I reserve here, or can I go to an agency in Buenos Aires? Will it be less expensive to do so?I speak Spanish pretty well so language is not an issue. Any tips?

  1. The only Estancia I've been (as a tourist) is Estancia Santa Susana which cater for people fduring the day with a huge asado and a gaucho show and good wine. I would definetly check Lonely Planet, Fodor's guide to see what they offer and ultilmately look for argentinian tourist web sites which could offer lodging in the Pampas estancias.
