The Nerazzurri midfielder has cited the example of Udinese to assure that the Milan outfit can still do well in the upcoming season, despite starting their season earlier than other clubs in Serie A.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Cambiasso-c12912 has sidelined notions that the early start to their season will hamper their performance in the league, and believes that subscribing to the idea will be synonymous to seeing problems that are not there.
The Nerazzurri finished their dismal run in the last campaign at the sixth spot in the league, and will play Croatian outfit Hajduk Split on August 2nd to kick-start their season with the European preliminaries.
While other teams have days to rest and practice until the start of Serie A 2012-13 season, there are fears that the Milan outfit’s early start could hamper their form in the league.
Cambiasso rejected all such ideas, and insisted that giving importance to the notion will be like having phobias of things that are not actually there.
The Nerazzurri midfielder cited the example of Udinese, who started their last season with the Europa League preliminaries, to demonstrate the fact that starting the season earlier than others does not bar you from doing well in the league.
The Beneamata playmaker urged his team-mates to divert their attention from the opinion, as fixating on it will convince them that the ghost exists.
While talking to the press, the 31-year-old said:
“Let’s not get too dramatic, as last year Udinese finished third after playing in the Champions League preliminary round. If we see problems that aren’t really there, then we could risk convincing ourselves the issues exist.”
Cambiasso went on to heap praise of Andrea Stramaccioni, and insisted that the young tactician has a demeanour about him that allowed him to bond very quickly with the players in his team.
“Stramaccioni has charisma. This created a sense of trust and he was quickly absorbed into the locker room as someone who really belonged at Inter.”
Stramaccioni was appointed at the helm of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 for the first-leg.
