The former Real Madrid star unsure about the Manchester City link; refuses to talk about his future with the former treble winners.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Cambiasso-c12912, has rejected talks linking him with a move away from San Siro.
The future of the Nerazzurri veteran has been subject of huge uncertainty after the recent jeering by the fans. Cambiasso was brought to tears after the crowd booed him during his substitution during a recent league game.
The Argentine was extremely hurt with the fan’s reaction, and insisted that he did not deserve what he received from the fans that night. However, he stated that his love for Inter Milan and their fans will not diminish, and he will continue loving them the same way.
Several clubs have been listed as possible destinations for the former Real Madrid star in the summer transfer window, with Manchester City being named as the top suitor for the midfielder. The Beneamata have had a dismal campaign so far, and the club management have revealed that they will undergo a major overhaul to the squad in the summer.
The ageing stars are being blamed for the poor season of the Nerazzurri, and it is expected that the senior stars will be shown the exit door come the end of the season. However, Cambiasso refused to confirm his link with the Premier League, and insisted that the club will decide on his future.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, Cambiasso said:
“I’ll stay with Inter next season. That is a question that you will have to put to the club and the Coach,” he responded. “If I say anything about Mario then I’ll be accused of interfering with the club’s transfer campaign…”
Cambiasso has been one of the most consistent performers for the Nerazzurri this season, having scored four goals from 31 matches thus far.
Inter are currently struggled at the 7th spot in the league standings, and are facing an uphill task to finish amongst top-three, in order to play UEFA Champions League next season. Andrea Stramaccioni’s men will face Udinese in their next game on Saturday, April 13.
