Two great fighting men,Estaban rarely mentioned despite his epics with Duran at lightweight,tempted to give my opinion but Ill wait for anyone who cares to answer

Pernell Whitaker.  No contest.  De Jesus did beat Duran but Roberto was young and couldnt get used to the cold January weather.  Taking nothing from DeJesus but many rank him very high on the merrit of that win over Duran.  Duran dominated him in the second fight and he was past his prime and got crushed in their third meeting.

DeJesus is a slick and skillful boxer but everything he can do, Pernell can do much better.   DeJesus might have an edge in power but not much that would swing the fight in his favor.  Pernell shuts him out on points or stops him late.
