Queen Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Granero-c12919, has insisted that Real Madrid are the greatest team in the World, while admitting that it is not an easy task for the academy players to represent Los Blancos.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who came through the ranks of the Madrid giants’ youth academy, started his professional career on loan at Getafe in the 2007/08 season.
However, his stay at Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez became permanent in the very next season only for the Madrid giants to lure him back in the summer of 2009.
Nonetheless, the technically gifted midfielder failed to feature regularly for Los Blancos during his three-season stay at Santiago Bernabeu before joining QPR in the summer transfer window earlier this year.
And the former Getafe midfield ace has stressed that representing La Liga giants is not an easy task for an academy player.
“Real Madrid are the greatest team in the world and playing for them - especially for the people in the academy - cannot be easy. If it was easy the team wouldn't be that big and that good”, Granero was quoted as saying to Revista.
The Spanish midfielder went on to insist that only the best players in the World manage to feature regularly in the Los Blancos first team.
“Of course Real Madrid would love to have many players in their first team from the academy. You have to be one of the greatest players in the world to play in the first team. The important thing is how Real Madrid has helped all their players who now are
in the first team and how Real Madrid has helped the players who now are not in the first team like me and Mata”, Granero added.
Juan Mata failed to feature for Los Blancos even in a single game, and was sold to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
