Estes accepts full time position on East Carolina volleyball staff – Volleyball news
Jeri Estes, who became a part of the East Carolina volleyball staff in August of 2011, was recently offered to accept a new position of assistant coach.
Previously, he was working on temporary basis but the team coach Pati Rolf wanted him to accept full time position. It was a dream job for Estes to work in association with such experienced coach. So he did not take long to accept the new role. The ECU officially
announced his new status on Thursday, April 5.
“I am eager to work with Coach Rolf to achieve our shared goals of developing our regional talent pool, creating a winning program that will make ECU the program of choice for good volleyball players regionally and nationally, and emphasizing to our student-athletes
the concepts of top-notch training, match preparation, fitness, individual commitment, hard work and personal character. We want our athletes to be great competitors not only in volleyball, but also in life,” said Estes.
On the other hand, the Head Coach of ECU Volleyball Programme Pati Rolf said that Estes is a nice addition in the ECU staff. It will create an opportunity for ECU players to take a lot of benefit from his wisdom and volleyball skills.
Rolf has known Estes for many years and he believes he has made a right choice for ECU. He seemed quite excited that Estes accepted the offer for full time position and now the Pirate Volleyball programme will flourish tremendously.
In past, Estes also provided his services to Russian club team Uralochka-NTMK. He led the team in the shoes of head coach for ten years and helped them gain high status in the Russian Super League. He enabled Uralochka-NTMK to a claw its way to the second-place
in league.
In United States, Estes also coached the Saint Louis Quest. Furthermore, he also worked with Volero Zurich VBC and Dinamo-Moscow of Russia.
Now that Estes has joined the Pirates of ECU, the team is likely to improve in the running season. Currently, the Coaching Staff of ECU consists of Head Coach Pati Rolf, assistant coach Jackie Simpson, and Jeri Estes.
