Estes rocket engine thingy?

k, so in those homemade rocket things or the estes rockets u make in school......u know those thingys that u stick between the engine and the parachute (i think it's made of rolled up cardboard)? does that hav to be glued on tight?

  1. If you're talking about the inside of the rocket you put wadding (usually fire resistant tissue paper) in to keep the charge that pushes the parachute out from burning up your plastic parachute. No you do not glue the wadding in. If you have a rocket that has a longer upper section (instead of just a nosecone) then the connector between the two sections has to be glued into the upper section but not the lower one. Hope this gives you what you're looking for.
