Estimate Electric Bill

Question

I will live alone in this apt. no gas, own electric water heater, elec. stove,

how much bill will I pay per month? What is your estimate?

To get the best estimate, knock on a few adjacent doors, and ask people how much they pay.  It's good to meet your neighbors, anyway - many people don't in apartments.

It's hard to come within even a factor of 2 as an estimate.  If you eat out, you may only be using 50 kWh per month.  On the other hand, if you have an old, inefficient refrigerator, you could be using 500 kWh per month doing the same thing.

And given the kWh (kilowatt-hour) usage, rates vary widely across the country.  On some islands in Hawaii, it's 40-50 cents a kWh.  In Tenessee, it could be 1/10 that.

If you actually know the answer, and this is actually a guessing poll, I guess $25 a month.

If you dont waste electricity by leaving lights on and such... Not running an AC.... I would say $20-$30 a month... (thats what I pay in Ohio)
