Depends on the rate at which the powerful car could accelerate:

If we estimate 0.5g ie at 5m/s², then:

s = ut + 1/2 *a *t²

s = 0 +2.5*1

Distance is 2.5m

If the car could accelerate at 1g, ie 10m/s² (I am sure that no sports car can do this)

s = 0+5*1

s = 5m.
