  1. I do house clearings as well as investigations. I do not charge a set fee, instead I prefer to accept donations. I am interested in gaining new experiences and continuing to learn in this Field. Every investigation teaches me something new and in the process I am able to help people learn about the unseen world around us. Further, I teach them how to take control of their own environment and become comfortable in their homes once again.  That means a lot to me.

I would never consider turning someone down because they don't have a set amount of money to pay me.

  2. I know the answer to this!  They EARN nothing.  All the money they make is scammed or given to them by people who are too dumb to know any better.  They wave their wands and crank up their bogus gadgets and give the appearance of being very professional but they are kooks or con artists, every one.  But they EARN nothing.

So, yeah, you could be one.  And you don't even need a lot of expensive equipment.  Just rig up some gadgets that look fancy.  Go to Radio Shack or Ace Hardware and you'll find some stuff that you could sniff out spirits with.

All you really need is some charm or charisma, a few good lines, some technobabble, (the stuff they used on Ghostbusters was great);  a couple of good excuses for failure, a shortage of conscience, and you're on your way to a career.  And you'll be surprised how easy it is.  You can s***w up all over the place, but people who believe in that nonsense will be impressed with you.

  3. Most of the ones ive known do it for free and spend thier own money on the investigations.

As for affording equipment, if you really love something and want something you get it. I know people who make less than 20k a year who have motorcycles. I once knew a security officer who owned a BMW. He lived with his mother and had no money for anything else, but it was important for him to have a nice car.

$5000 will buy you the top of line ghost hunting equipment. That is probably over the top for most people, but if you really want to study paranormal activity you can get the equipment.

  4. I formed a team several years ago because of experiences I  had and I wanted answers. I do not charge anything so my earnings are zero I fund the entire program personally but I do pay my team pending on their experience. ranging between 40 and 60k a year. People have problems that law enforcement will do nothing for so we give them someone to call and try and help out.

we are located in middle Tennessee

  5. I own and operate the SAATI group in San Antonio,  I do not charge at all for investigations what so ever.  If someone wants to help donate to the group to keep it running that is fine, but we do not charge. The equipment and such are bought with personal money form members in the team, and we all donate and contribute to the funds. We are more into finding answers than making money. to find answers.. that is the true payoff.
