Thanks to this link form Wiggysan answering another question. Im stunned as to how hard Dovi was really going 10kmh (6mph) slower down the straight. this means he was making up the lap times around the corners. can there really be any doubt as to what he could accomplish with the right machinery beneath him. he was just as good fighting the Aprillia's on a well below par Honda. Look out Hayden ???

I've always thought the guy could ride the wheels off of most compettition and this would seem to prove the point,

Yeah the boy done really well on that old NSR250. It was a dog on the straights, but he rode the wheels of it in the bend, just like Takahashi is doing now.

I do feel that before long he will be on a better RC212V. May be not the factory Repsol, but not dount the Gresini models. They get the trick kits even before LCR does.

Dovi is no doubt a talent for the future, but look at what Lorenzo is doing to show how much the old 250 boys like the new 800's.

Out of the list of riders from that link, only 6 of them are NOT race winners from 250GP. Shows where the sport has come from and where the sport is going.
