Eternal Heart to toss in another win through the Betfred Barry Hills “Further Flight” Stakes at Nottingham
Nottingham is to become home for the Class 1 Betfred Barry Hills “Further Flight” Stakes (Listed Race) over a mile, six furlongs and fifteen yards on Wednesday, 11th April. The purse for the race is set at £19, 849 and is to be contested for by
nine four-year and older thoroughbreds.
Out of the nine competing, only three have raced during the new season. Eternal Heart, Alhaarth’s four-year-old bay colt out of mare Lady In Pace, has credited the seasonal debut as a proud victory against his name.
He won the Stobart Doncaster Shield (Conditions Stakes) on 1st April at Doncaster over a mile and four furlongs. With Joe Fanning onboard, Eternal Heart got threatened by the reeling in 5/4 favourite of the race, King Of Wands, who was at a mere
half length’s difference.
Finishing third behind the winner was Junoob.
After claiming the seasonal debut, Eternal Heart, will for sure make all the effort that he can for attaching further victory strings to it.
Another entry to have raced through the new season is Myplacelater, Where Or When’s five-year-old chestnut mare out of mare Star Welcome, not that she finished anywhere near decent as twelfth out of thirteen was quite a dreadful start for the new season.
On 24th March, Myplacelater lost the Group 3 Blue Square Winter Derby at Lingfield over a mile and two furlongs. The race was won by Premio Loco while the 4/1 joint favourite, Cai Shen, qualified as the runner up.
Finishing the race third was Circumvent.
She has remained winless through the last nine starts that she undertook and then could not find luck even towards the beginning of the new season. It is high time that she breaks away from the failure spell and at least try to end the race decently.
The third and last entry who has raced during 2012 is Electrolyser but even he could not do much with the chance that he was exposed to.
It is not necessary that having raced recently is all that is needed for bagging the race today as a majority of contenders are racing after a long rest and can turn out to be threatening.
