What is Ethanol fuel? Ethanol is a grain alcohol. It's also commonly known as Ethyl Alcohol or hydroxyethane. The Ethanol used in fuel for cars is denatured (you can't get drunk off of it) and is primarily made from corn. This is where one of the largest issues comes from. Please provide your opinion for raised question.

  1. Denatured means it has been rendered unfit to eat or drink.  It doesn't have anything to do with getting drunk.

So, what's your problem?  Do you think ethanol is a scam to increase oil companies profits?  Do you think the government is trying to scam you by providing an alternative to hydrocarbon fuels which are steadily increasing in price and decreasing in supply?

You want my opinion?  I think you have no idea what you're talking about.

  2. It is not the lobbyist or government but the Democrats want to not let us drill for our own oil...

  3. Actually it's both Democrats and Republicans from farming states trying to bring subsidies to their constituents, regardless of the environmental costs.

The oil companies have not resisted because ethanol will not wean us off oil.  Ethanol actually requires almost as much oil to produce as would be saved by it's substitution.
