in ethanol distillation column, besides beer and rectifying column, how many more types of ethanol distillation column ?

    Vacuum Distillation (low alcohol beers)

    Fractional Distillation

    pot still (booze, brandy, cognac)

  2. At a Bourbon whiskey distillery you will many times see two stills.  The beer still and the doubler.  The doubler is a pot still used to further increase the proof from the beer still while the beer still is a column still.  A Scotch or Irish whiskey distillery will use only pot stills.

    Vodka distillers will use several column stills...including a beer still and another recifying column.  I don't know if they have specific names beyond those two.
