Why is ethical relativism important to anthropologists?

  1. I think it is important because it allows them to defend practices like slavery and genocide when they are discovered in early civilizations as simply neccessities of starting civilization.


  2. If you approach an ethical system with only your own system as the basse and evaluate everything u see in terms of your own system, you will make errors in analysis.
