Can present a thorough/realistic example of how ethics can decline in a slow manner which results in wide spread acceptance of actions that 20-40 years earlier would have been unacceptable. Is there biblical support for such a notion?

  1. The biblical comparison would be the story of sodom and gomorrah. (some modern cults/religion consider America to be the modern equivalent)

    Hence the term Sodomy.

The decline in part is because of media. Media has used it "inspiration" on people to slowly weed in new ideas. I doubt it is a conspiracy but more a matter of developing a tolerance for a certain amount of "immorality".

Now with the wide spread availability of the internet the rate at the decline of "old fashion" morality is at a higher rate then the previous 20-40 years. In reality morality has always been a roller coaster. But the things going on now have always gone on, their just made public and accepted instead of being something that most people hide in the closet.

For instance priest having been molesting boys for years, many of the victims that came forward, in that incident a couple years ago, were adults.

The thing about our form of government, is anything that will help make the wealthy more wealthy will in turn be accepted. Like wise anything that cost them money, will eventually be illegal. Such as the 2006 bill that made (camping) or being homeless illegal.

The bible is just another history book. Like any history book, it is rewrote by those in control. Until recently all gospel doctrine were written in latin. New copies were written by hand, and changes were made when neccary to those in power. After all would a "perfect" and "supreme" deity really create loop holes and conflicting accounts. The losers never write history. As such many thing are changed and convoluted. A modern instance of this is holocaust. Many of our medical break thurs are directly related to research conducted in "concentration camps." Also the down play of Japanense Americans imprisoned and killed in American "concentration camps."
