A science student (17 years old) asked me to remind him of the difference between the two...

Well....there must be a difference if his tutor went over it, surely?

  1. Ethics is the code of conduct - a system of morals.

Morality is the character of being in accord with your code.

I would note, however, that Webster has an alternate definition of morality as "principles of right and wrong; ethics")

So, at some level, yes, they are the same.
