I was reading on european geneology and kept coming back to a map that showed that northern africa and India where genetically very similiar to europeans so I was wondering, since Ethiopia was also marked in the "europid" zone.

That would explain their normal shaped nose and normal sized lips...

  1. I am Ethiopian-American and I must say that I am deeply offended by your statement "that would explain their normal shaped nose and normal sized lips." DEFINE NORMAL. African beauty and features are just as "normal" as European features. To answer your questions we are not European but we have "Caucasoid-shaped" heads meaning our features may look European whereas many other Africans have "n e g r o i d- shaped" (I had to space it out because Yahoo was blocking it-although it is not vulgar) skulls meaning their features may look more "African." India, Sudan,  the Aboriginals of Australia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and some parts of Southeast Asia have this type of occurrence. Their skulls are of Caucasoid variety with darker skin. Nonetheless we are African and we have all skin tones ranging from very light to very dark and if anything Europeans are genetically related to us not the other way around. You have got things twisted. If you need additional education on this subject here is a link to a wikipedia page addressing this very issue (scroll down to see section about Ethiopians):

  2. It's always an error to try and determine ancestry by surface evidence, such as head shape and facial features. Considering the 6000 year known history of northeastern Africa and the Middle East, there has been a lot of migration and intermarriage. As DNA research is improved, science may be able to answer   your question one day.
