Ethnographic topics?

Can anyone suggest me some good topics for ethnographic research paper?

Well since this a study of ethnic groups that are related ans share perhaps common environments, experiences, circumstances and outlooks, I say you look for "groups" and make a study.

(The recently discovered Rainforest tribe in Brazil would be an extreme example...perfect...but hard to go there huh?)

How they live, eat, entertain themselves, love. Emotional positions and social personas.

Ideas

1. A retirement home of aging people

2. A select group of students from a magnet, or alternative school

3. A group of "gifted" students

4. Homeless people

(I dont know your age but...)

5. A group of recovering people, maybe the AA

If you live in an area where there is a diverse ethnic population, seek out a group and try to get interviews and do research within their community.

one of the most interesting study i've come across is the han chinese.  they r a different cattle of fish to us. they dont hv [previously] this concept of abstract thinking.  they invent gunpowder to make noise and frecrackers.   the white man saw it and made it into explosives.

they invent paper and yet cant bind books

they see heaven as a replica of earth. no god but heavenly kingdom.

its so interesting and fr here we see how they r changing and at the same time being Han Chinese.  

another one are the europeans  - italians  their lifestyle, culture is diff fr those of scandinavia.  u can work out these interesting insights and share it with us
