Etihad takes golfers to the greens in Australia!

Etihad group of industries have launched a program, which can take a golf lover to the beautiful meadows of Australia. Etihad Airways and Etihad Golf Club have joined hands with the Tourism Queensland, to initiate a global online promotion offering six golfers across the world to take a chance on a golfing trip to Queensland, Australia.
Etihad is a UAE based multinational firm with various businesses in airlines, golf clubs, and restaurants. Its’ marketing team has decided to launch a program on global basis in 2011 and if it becomes successful then it be will repeated twice in a year.
To win a ticket on the golfing trip, golfers will have to enter into a competition. All they have to do is register online for the event, which will be free of cost and upload a short video on YouTube. The video should explain as to why they should be a part of this ‘once in a lifetime’ golf holiday. It can include funny clips and songs, but offensive material is not permissible. After that, the video link has to be sent along with the registration ID to the official website.
The news was released in a press briefing held in Karachi, Pakistan. Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said, “Membership of our award-winning loyalty program Etihad Guest recently reached one million, and as membership grows, we continually look for ways to offer our guests unique, innovative, and exclusive opportunities.”
He further added that the invitation was open for the members of the Etihad Golf Club. He explained, “We are extremely excited to offer our members the chance to win this once in a lifetime opportunity, as well as promote the broader benefits of Etihad Golf Club and our loyalty program Etihad Guest to a global audience.”
The golfing trip will include fully paid trip to Australia, food festival, musical night and several other programs. The purpose of this program is to promote the privileges of being an Etihad customer. Wow! Now who won’t like to play golf and win a cruise in a luxury plane to Australia?
