Etiquette for wedding invites

okay so I'm having a very small ceremony in Pigeon Forge. I am renting an 8 room (huge) cabin for 2 nights that I will be offering for some of my guests...should I include "accommodation's will be provided for you at Thunder Mountian Lodge on the 5th and 6th" or should I just call em and tell em that they are invited to stay? Also, for the other guests should I include a list of motels and hotels in the area??

another one...is it;

Mr. & Mrs. Mike Jones or

Mr. & Mrs. Mike Jones and Family or

The Jones Family???

I am not excluding any children so am unsure how to address the whole family.

Should I paint my toenails blue for the something blue??? or is that tacky??

Thanks everyone for your help!! Love yall!!

  1. Your invitations should include all of the possible motels/hotels in the area (and try to hold a group of rooms at a discounted rate! just call a hotel or two and ask them). As for your family that you are allowing to stay for free, just tell them separately.

    For inviting an entire family, your second option is best - "Mr and Mrs and Family"

    It's your wedding - if you want blue toenails, go for it! But you might want to explain the significance of them :-)

    Congratulations and good luck!

  2. I would just call the guests and tell them about the cabin.  For the others who are not staying at the cabin, enclose information about local hotels along with the invitation.

    The way to properly address the invitation is to make use of the inside envelope.  The outside says Mr. and Mrs Mike Jones or you can add "and family" if you want to.  On the inside envelope, list the names of everyone invited.

    On the first line: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Jones

    Second line:      Ryan, Courtney, and Zoe
