  1. No, etiquette only asks that you USE a knife and fork.

  2. There is a sincere split on this. I was always taught that it was not polite to use the fork in the right hand and knife in the left although this was my natural inclination. The modern and more relaxed idea is generally to eat the way round it suits you. However at a formal dinner when space can be at a premium someone eating "cack handed"  can cause discomfort to the person next to them and it is courteous not to do this.

  3. no, that's like saying its rude to be left-handed...

  4. I don't think it's bad etiquette to eat that way...most left handed people would find that the easiest.

  5. most people eat with knife in right hand etc. even lefties, as they are taught to do this from childhood.

  6. Supposed to be I do as learned to only use a fork as a child and being naturally right handed favoured this hand

  7. no but you should really eat with your hands otherwise my dad will s***w at you

  8. no,not at all.not if your left handed, bad etiquette to spill your food using your utensils in a way your not use to!

  9. I was taught to use the fork in my left hand and a knife in my right hand when cutting food like meat, then lay the knife down and switch the fork to my right hand to eat.

  10. Not at all.

It is all a matter or mannerisms and dominance. If you are right handed or left handed is reflected in how you hold your utensils.

  11. Well not really anymore, it is considered wrong but then when people were seriously worried about things like that it was considered wrong to be left handed. But if you were going to a really posh restaurant or going to eat with the Queen it would be better to eat right handed because that is the way the waiters are taught to serve. so they might drop stuff on you coming form the other way, just kidding about them dropping it, it is just easier for them if your right handed.

  12. Not at all, it has nothing to do with etiquette it depends on whether you are right or left handed.

  13. No, but the opposite is better if possible.
