Etiquette schools?

Do they exist anymore? Are there programs that teach basic manners, how to be a hostess @ a party, that kind of thing? For adults, not looking for deb programs, or any of that. Thanks

  1. yeah they still exist, depending where you live.  One that I know of is in Canberra:

  2. Yes, there are.  If you're in the US, get your yellow pages and look for "Etiquette" or "Manners."  If none of the schools listed specifically mention that they have adult programs, call them anyway - they may keep a "waiting list" of adults and then schedule a class when enough people are interested.

Business consultants often teach manners, party etiquette, etc.

Country clubs and private dinner clubs very often have an etiquette expert on staff or on retainer.  Not only do they need to train new employees, but occasionally they end up with a high-profile member who needs a refresher in etiquette basics!

Also keep an eye on your local community college, junior college, "Open University" or "Free University".  These schools will often have non-credit courses in etiquette, party planning, hostessing, and all sorts of topics.
